It's not like buying a car where you expect to have additional cost of ownership. LIFETIME was supposed to be a single purchase without additional fees. They expect you to pay for maintenance on a LIFETIME account purchase. How will this affect you? As a lifetime account holder you will not be forced to pay any additional costs, however, without upgrading your plan you may experience some issues using your account when we cease to support our basic plans of as February 1st, 2020." The company is a sham. This means we will be slightly increasing prices for our subscribers. The following email was sent to lifetime account holders: "Hello Due to the high demand for premium services, we are no longer offering basic plans to any of our customers. We paid for a service, they no longer honor the service.īack in February of this year they decided to no longer honor the lifetime accounts. (Learn more at ) Best regards, Zoolz Team #Has anyone used zoolz lifetime upgradePlease get in touch with the support team so they can assist you with any issues arising In case you do want to upgrade to the Maintenance plan, it comes with many perks including 24-hour technical support and no Ads, etc. You will still receive the support service but it will take 4-5 days of response time. Your premium plan has expired so you went back to basic support. #Has anyone used zoolz lifetime softwareHi Florian, This is definitely an isolated issue regarding the software and data. Also, support is included in the paid lifetime plan however it is basic support. There are very clear advantages to upgrading to the premium plan which is what we were trying to convey to our users, but this should be entirely optional to our customers, and will not affect their lifetime account. Update: Irrespective of whether you subscribe to the premium upgrade or not, your lifetime plan will remain completely accessible and your amount of purchased storage will never decrease. Now I don't know if it's bugs or their deceiving pricing policy that's keeping me from using the service. It's just not there when I relied on it being there - I bought a lifetime plan, but they're actually not letting me use essential features (needed just to re-install zoolz after formatting the harddrive) without upgrading and paying them more (monthly!) money - guess what, support isn't included in the PAID lifetime plan either - you have to upgrade for that. Untrustworthy in every way imaginable: - very buggy software, both in terms of just the interface and it has lost data of mine. I paid a lot of money for the lifetime plan, and at some point they decided to DOWNGRADE the plan, not stick to the agreement, and bully users to pay them more money, even though they promised lifetime service. I never had a "premium" plan that ran out. UPDATE: Zoolz is LYING in their comment to my post. I think most positive reviews here are bought! The phrase "one-time charge" would still convey the idea of no recurring invoices/bills while sounding perhaps a bit closer to what people would consider "legit".Untrustworthy in every way imaginable. I do think, however, that LTD's should perhaps be renamed to "one-time charge" to avoid confusion as many ppl seem to get confused or turned off by the word "lifetime". And Hetzner servers get the upload/download done fast 1TB is not as much as the ppl on /r/datahoarder store. Glorifyapp, MyW.pt Reseller, several VPN LTDs, Koofr, Crello and others :P In the end, if they close down just move the data. That being said, I have grabbed some nice LTD SaaS so far. Maybe sometimes it's also to provoke as to "why would you buy a lifetime deal? it's scaaaaam?!", but luckily that's coming only from a few trolls. Hope this helps Although it always appears logical to me, it happens quite often people ask this. Obviously, if a company is dissolved, files for bankruptcy or similar services are likely not to be continued. The other possible outcome, which usually is the more likely one, is that you come to see the company's demise at some point, at which you should have gotten your money's worth out of the product by then. A contract of this kind ends when you die, naturally. Lifetime always refers to the lifetime of the company or yours.
